Has anybody out in CAFAM land got this same problem.
If you put a minimum stock figure against a part number the system does not take into account any alternate part numbers when it prints the Minimum Stock Report.
As a for instance. If you set the minimum stock level for Gasket 'A' as 10 items and there is an alternative Gasket 'B', as soon as Gasket 'A' falls below 10 units it will appear on the minimum stock report as below minimum regardless of the fact that you have 200 of Gasket 'B'
The report does give the alternate part number but it doesn't show quantities, so you have to call up each item on the system to check what stock you have of the alternate before you go ordering parts you really don't need.
Setting a minimum stock against both the main and alternate part still doesn't help.
The only way for it to work properly would be if CAFAM totalled the stock of the main part number and its alternates and then checked it against the minimum stock figure.
