We use cafam for various light aircraft and JAR OPs operators, during a recent update of AMP it was noticed that the 3 Piper chieftains under contract, "lost" approx 200 hours from total A/F hours, no other a/c types were affected. Has this happened to anyone else?

Apologies ng!!!

One of our aircraft (out of seven) 'lost' in excess of 200 hours during our most recent update (when we went from 5e39 to 5e44) but updating the hours in the usual way resolved the problem. Samples of component and inspection hours  were accomplished afterwards and nothing was amiss.

(I was on leave and missed the 'fun'!!!)

Hi NG,

Luckily we have had no instances of airframe hours shifting after an update. But I do have one warning from our experience of updates.

If the revision requires Amendstru and for any reason the execute file falls over half way through, don't just run it again, give JD a call.

I made the mistake of just running the execute file a second time and made a complete mess of one of the database files. To be honest I think in most cases I would have been OK it was just the changes that this particular amendment made.

Best to be sure by speaking to JD.
